Reuse-A-Shoe Program a Continued Success
Belvidere, IL… After another full month of participation in Nike’s Reuse-A-Shoe program, State Representative Ron Wait (R-Belvidere) is ready to make another drop off. Since he began his participation, Representative Wait has collected over 350 pairs of shoes.
“I can not begin to explain how happy it makes me to see the community involvement in such a great cause,” said Wait. “I want to thank everyone who stopped by during my community office hours and Superior Coating of Belvidere for all of their generous donations.”
Representative Wait will still be accepting donated shoes at his district office during regular office hours, Monday-Friday. Also, in conjunction with his community office hours, Representative Wait will be happy to collect any used athletic shoes at the following locations on the first Tuesday of each month:
9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the South Beloit City Hall (815-389-3023)
11:00 – 12:00 p.m. at the Roscoe Village Hall (815-623-2829)
1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the Cherry Valley Village Hall (815-332-3441)
2:15 – 3:15 p.m. at the Kirkland Village Hall (815-522-6179)
3:30 – 4:30 p.m. at the Kingston Village Hall (815-784-5572)
4:30 – 5:30 p.m. at the Genoa City Hall (815-784-2327)
Superior Coating is also collecting shoes for the program. Their location is at 6860 Indy Dr., Belvidere, IL 61008.
Only athletic shoes will be accepted and they can be any brand. Shoes containing metal, spikes, dress or damp shoes cannot be recycled through this program.
